Jameson Junior Guild Presents $255,000 Donation to Jameson Hospital
The Jameson Junior Guild generously donated $255,000 toward their $1.5 million pledge to advance patient care services at Jameson Hospital. The gift was presented to Mr. Doug Danko, president/CEO, Mr. Steven Warner, chairman, Jameson Health System Board of Directors, and Mr. Frank Moses vice chairman of the board at the Guild’s spring luncheon at the New Castle County Club.

The Board of Directors of Jameson Hospital approved the conversion of the Jameson Hospital South Campus from a 24 hours per day, seven days a week facility to a weekday (Monday through Friday) daytime facility.

U.S. News and World Report names Jameson Transitional Care Unit within Best Nursing Homes of 2015
Two New Castle nursing homes have been named to the list of Best Nursing Homes of 2015 by U.S. News and World Report.
Haven Convalescent Home, located at 725 Paul St., and Jameson Hospital’s Transitional Care Unit (TCU), located at 1211 Wilmington Road, were among 16 nursing homes that received the top rating out of 137 in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area.
The facilities that were named to the list had to receive an overall five-star rating from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, according to the online report.
Caregiver Support Program on Thursday, March 12
Jameson Hospice of Lawrence County will host a conference for area caregivers on March 12 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Jameson South Conference Center, 1000 S. Mercer Street, New Castle.
Help for the Helpers: Connecting with Community Resources for Caregiving will provide resources offering support for caregivers of elderly, or of a child or family member with special needs, a spouse who has suffered an injury or someone with a life-limiting illness, and assist them in finding community services and resources.
