Jameson Health System Announces Merger Partner Decision
In an arbitration that is part of a court proceeding relating to the antitrust concerns of the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office concerning Jameson’s proposed affiliation with UPMC, an arbitrator has determined that Jameson’s recent remarketing effort from the August 2015 national rebid solicitation did not produce a Qualified Bid which would be an alternative to the UPMC Affiliation Agreement and which meets the qualifying criteria for serving the long-term interests of the residents of Lawrence County.

We ultimately received three new bids, in addition to the previous offer from UPMC, which has reaffirmed its proposal to merge with Jameson and has agreed to extend its offer through December 31, 2015.
